Shopping for a gamer is tricky. They already own the game you were going to buy. They have strong feelings about headsets. And if you ask what they want, they'll say "nothing," then mention a keyboard switch type you've never heard of.
So we did the homework. Here are gift ideas for every budget, with prices and specs pulled from the official stores on October 22, 2026. Holiday sales will move these numbers around, so treat our prices as a starting point and tap through to check.
Under $25: stocking stuffers
Humble Choice (one month)
$14.99/month
Humble Choice is a monthly membership that delivers a curated set of PC games to keep. Humble says members save up to 20% in its store and that 5% of the membership supports charity. An annual plan brings the price below $13 a month, and you can skip any month. It's a gift that keeps arriving, which is the best kind.
Best for: PC gamers. These are PC games, not console games.
- $14.99/month, or less than $13/month on an annual plan (per Humble)
- Skip a month any time
- Games are yours to keep
Prefer a one-time gift? Humble Bundle's current bundles package games, books and software at bundle prices, with part of the money going to charity. Humble says its community has given more than $284 million to charity since 2010.

Razer BlackShark V2 X headset
$59.99 list
A wired headset that plugs into just about everything with a 3.5 mm jack. Razer lists compatibility with PC, Mac, PS5, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck and mobile devices, which makes it a safe bet when you aren't sure what they play on. At 240 grams it's on the light side, and the cardioid mic is designed to cut background noise (like you yelling that dinner is ready).
- 240 g
- TriForce 50 mm drivers
- HyperClear cardioid mic
- Wired 3.5 mm: PC, consoles, Switch, Steam Deck, mobile
Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED wireless mouse

A wireless headset with RGB lighting and colorful headbands. Logitech rates the battery at 29+ hours (at 50% volume with lights off) and wireless range up to 20 meters, enough to grab a snack without missing a callout. It was $10 off on Logitech's store when we checked.
- LIGHTSPEED wireless
- 29+ hours battery (Logitech's rating, 50% volume, lights off)
- Up to 20 m range
- PRO-G drivers, DTS Headphone:X 2.0 surround
Logitech PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 mouse

Razer Huntsman V3 Pro keyboard
$249.99 list
A full-size keyboard with Razer's analog optical switches, so the player can set how far a key travels before it registers (0.1 to 4.0 mm, per Razer). It supports Rapid Trigger and Snap Tap features that competitive players love, and includes a magnetic leatherette wrist rest. When we checked, Razer.com had it on sale for $189.99, which pulls it into this tier.
- Analog Optical Switches Gen-2
- Adjustable actuation 0.1–4.0 mm, Rapid Trigger, Snap Tap
- Rated for 100 million keystrokes (Razer)
- Magnetic wrist rest, multi-function dial
The big one
Nintendo Switch 2
$499.99 MSRP
Nintendo's current console works as a handheld and on the TV. Heads up: Nintendo raised the US price of the base console from $449.99 to $499.99 on September 1, 2026, so older gift guides show the wrong number. Nintendo also lists bundles, including the Mario Kart World bundle at $549.99 and a Nintendo Switch Sports bundle at $529.99.
Best for: families and anyone who games on the couch or on the go. Check whether they already have one before you wrap it. Nobody needs two.
- Base console $499.99 MSRP (since Sept. 1, 2026)
- Mario Kart World bundle $549.99
- Nintendo Switch Sports bundle $529.99
For the gamer who likes to tinker
Raspberry Pi 5
From $45 (1GB)
A credit-card-sized computer for people who like building things: home servers, robots, coding projects and DIY game consoles. Raspberry Pi lists prices from $45 for the 1GB board to $305 for 16GB, and it raised several prices in 2026 because memory costs went up. The board needs a 5V/5A USB-C power supply (Raspberry Pi sells a 27W one), and active cooling is recommended, so budget for the extras.
One honest note: if you plan to emulate classic games, stick to games you own and legally obtained software.
- Quad-core Arm Cortex-A76 at 2.4 GHz
- Dual 4Kp60 HDMI outputs
- 1GB $45, 2GB $77.50, 4GB $110, 8GB $175, 16GB $305 (official prices, Oct. 2026)

Gift-buying tips that save real money
- Check return windows. Many retailers extend returns for holiday purchases. Read the policy before you buy, not on December 26.
- Compare the brand store with one big retailer. Prices on gaming gear move constantly in November and December.
- Gift receipts are love. Especially for headsets and mice, where comfort is personal.
